Schlücklibar Terms & Conditions

When booking an event with Schlücklibar, it shall be deemed to be an acknowledgement and acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

Booking Form
A completed booking form and deposit are required to confirm your booking with Schlücklibar, which will be provided and is to be returned via email correspondence. If either is not received, Schlücklibar reserves the right to release the date of the event. For a permit to operate on public land, the application is submitted via Schlücklibar, with the costs for the permit borne by the client.

Deposits, Payments & Cancellations
All bookings are subject to a 20% deposit of the fixed costs (vehicle, staff, equipment) which must be paid within 10 days after reservation. The deposit secures the booking, staff, Schlücklibar or products and associated equipment required for the event. The deposit can be paid via bank transfer or TWINT. The deposit is only refundable if a cancellation is made at least 6 weeks prior to a planned event.  Final payment for the fixed costs is due 14 days prior to the event, or within 48 hours for bookings made within 14 days prior to an event.

Travel
If your event is located outside of 30km (straight line distance 20km) from Basel-Stadt, a travel surcharge of 70.00 CHF will apply. Should the event be relocated after booking, the cost of your booking may increase.

Lost or Broken Glassware and Equipment
Any lost or broken glassware will be charged at 4.00 CHF per glass, unless the glassware was broken by Schlücklibar staff. If the client finds glassware after the event and arranges safe delivery to Schlücklibar within 7 days from the event date, no breakage fee will apply to the returned glassware. Any lost or broken equipment or beverages will be charged at the full cost of replacing the item/s unless the equipment or beverages were lost or broken by Schlücklibar staff. If the client finds equipment or beverages after the event and arranges safe delivery to Schlücklibar, no breakage fee will apply to the returned stock. The client is responsible for arranging any necessary measures to protect their property against the operation of Schlücklibar services. Schlücklibar is obliged to take all care in the set-up, operation and pack-up of services and equipment and does not hold responsibility for any damage caused to the clients’ floors, doors or any other fixtures.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

Schlücklibar is committed to the responsible service of alcohol. It is illegal to serve alcohol to a person who is intoxicated or a person who may attempt to drive a vehicle. Schlücklibar reserves the right to refuse service to any such person. It is illegal to serve beer and wine to a person who is under the age of sixteen, and spirits or cocktails to a person who is under the age of 18. Schlücklibar reserves the right to request valid age identification and to refuse service to a person who does not comply.

Safety, Violence and Theft

Schlücklibar staff reserve the right to take all stock and equipment and leave an event at any time, if they believe there is a possibility of theft, violence or any other threat to their safety or the safety of Schlücklibar stock and equipment. If this occurs, all payments are non-refundable.

Bond & Post-Event Expenses

Schlücklibar requires 20% of the provided fixed costs of an event to be held as a bond. The bond is included in the final payment invoice. A client will always be notified if an expense is to be paid from the bond. A bond will only ever be used to pay a valid post-event expense. Post-event expenses include but are not limited to, lost/broken glassware, equipment and additional services.
